He or She will only see curse

Hazel! Is that natural where you are? I had to acquire mine. We have a different native hazel here.

Yes, witch hazel (Hamamelis virginiana) is native here and blooming now.

Which hazel is that? (okay, so not funny) Anyway, we used to grow the showier garden varieties of hazels, but there was not much of a market for them here. People just do not know what they are. I had never seen witch hazel, so got some from the Arbor Day Foundation for my garden. I would like to compare it to our native hazel.
